About Us

Tewkesbury RFC has been playing rugby since 1881 and is one of the oldest rugby clubs in Gloucestershire.  We are run entirely by volunteers, from our chairman to the coaches of our teams and everyone in-between!   Tewkesbury Tigers is the junior section of Tewkesbury RFC which is an accredited England RFU and Gloucestershire RFU club.  We run a successful junior programme which has over 190 boys and girls aged between 6 and 17/18 playing at our home ground – The Moats in Tewkesbury.  We have some great facilities and a vibrant community of over 600 members within the Tewkesbury RFC family who all have a common goal of making sure that we are Putting Kids First!

Following the changes announced by the Government on Wednesday 9 September in relation to the ban on groups of more than six people meeting socially indoors and outdoors. Although social gatherings of more than six people will be banned in England from Monday 14 September, the Government has confirmed that organised sports and activities that have been through return to play protocols can continue. With the exception of clubs impacted by local lockdown restrictions, we remain at Stage D on the Return to Community Rugby Roadmap. The rugby community can continue to organise non-contact fixtures with other clubs using Ready4Rugby and other touch rugby activity.

Please see our Clubhouse page for more information about Track and Trace and face-coverings.
