On sunday 9th november tewkesbury under 10s took part in the county cup, on a cold and sunny day in cirencester. Tewkesbury drawn in group 5 of 7 with widden ob, stow on the wold  A, stroud, and ross on wye, the format 2pts for a win and 1pt for a draw with total try pts difference if needed.

After a warm up and a few training drills tewks games played out as followed.

GAME 1  Tewkesbury vs Stroud  FT 20/5 win with try from james,connor,ollie aaron and oscar.

GAME 2 Stow on the wold vs tewksbury FT 10/0 loss

GAM E 3 Widden ob vs tewkesbury FT 5/5 draw try from ollie.

GAM E 4 Tewkesbury vs ross on wye FT 25/0 win trys trom archie,aaron 2 and ollie 2.

This ment that tewkesbury ended on 5 pts with a try pts difference of plus 30 which was not quite enough to  stay in the main tornament, but we did go through to play in the 1/4 final of the  plate comp vs Michenhampton with a chance to go to finals day in may.

GAME 5, 1/4 FINAL. Tewkesbury vs Michenhampton FT 15/10 win trys from adam and ollie 2 .

All of the 13 players on the day played out of there skins , had a great day out,and im sure that they have learnt allot from the experience,and are all looking forward to going to finals day. Thanks go to all the support from the parents and cirencester rugby club for a great tornament.

Following the changes announced by the Government on Wednesday 9 September in relation to the ban on groups of more than six people meeting socially indoors and outdoors. Although social gatherings of more than six people will be banned in England from Monday 14 September, the Government has confirmed that organised sports and activities that have been through return to play protocols can continue. With the exception of clubs impacted by local lockdown restrictions, we remain at Stage D on the Return to Community Rugby Roadmap. The rugby community can continue to organise non-contact fixtures with other clubs using Ready4Rugby and other touch rugby activity.
