From September 2020 the RFU require all parents to now use the RFU Game Management System (GMS).  Using GMS ensures that parents and players are in control of their own data and unique individual record through their lifetime in rugby. It provides more consistent, accurate and up-to-date information for clubs and the RFU to help players and parents enjoy their Age Grade Rugby and transition into the adult game.

Removing paper form completion and storage reduces the burden on everyone, streamlines the process significantly and ensures GDPR compliance from a data security and retention perspective.  This also brings the process more in line with adult player registration helping the players, parents, and volunteers in the Age Grade and senior sections of our rugby clubs and in particular, streamlining the workload of our Club Registrars.

Frequently Asked Questions 

How do I access GMS ?

Existing Player We will send you an email directly from GMS which will contain your unique RFU ID and a link to the login page.   It is important to note that there is no password attached to your ID so you will need to select “forgot password” and create a password for your account.   Please remember to verify your email when requested.   Please do not create a new account in the event you have problems accessing your existing account.

New Player Emails will be sent to parents of all existing players that includes their username.  You will need to request forgot password and then set your own unique password.   Follow our tutorials for step by step guide to re-registration. 

What information is already in GMS?

If your child/children are already members at the end of Season 2019/2020 then they will already have been registered on GMS and will have a unique RFU ID.  Parents/carers/guardians are now required by the RFU to update the system to complete important information in the form of consents e.g. photograph, medical, next of kin etc., that must be completed by the parent/carer/guardian.

What happens if I leave the club?

If you are moving to a new club you can update this information in your profile.  Please speak to your new club who will be able to assist in moving you in GMS.  

If you are no longer going to play rugby you can make your account “inactive” on GMS.   Please contact us if you have any problems in making your account inactive. Unfortunately we do not offer membership refunds during the season. 

Is there any training for GMS?

In addition to the online resources provided  we are very happy to set up 1:1 or group training sessions on request.  

Membership Fees 2020/2021

Membership for your child is £75.00 and £60.00 for each additional siblings. The season runs from September to May. 

  As part of your child’s membership you will receive 2 parent/guardian social memberships.

Can I pay through GMS?

Yes.   You can select the Buy Membership option in GMS.

Click on your child/childrens profiles to purchase their memberships.  Siblings memberships will be discounted at checkout when purchased with a full junior player membership.  Please note that if you purchase a sibling membership at a later date the discount will not be applied.

Following the changes announced by the Government on Wednesday 9 September in relation to the ban on groups of more than six people meeting socially indoors and outdoors. Although social gatherings of more than six people will be banned in England from Monday 14 September, the Government has confirmed that organised sports and activities that have been through return to play protocols can continue. With the exception of clubs impacted by local lockdown restrictions, we remain at Stage D on the Return to Community Rugby Roadmap. The rugby community can continue to organise non-contact fixtures with other clubs using Ready4Rugby and other touch rugby activity.

Our Clubhouse bar is now open on Friday from 7.00 pm - 10.00 pm and on Saturday from 12.00 noon - 7.00pm.  We will be closed on Sunday.  We have a total capacity of 60 inside the clubhouse and 54 in our outside garden area.  Other changes include the introduction of glasses in the clubhouse rather than plastic and cash can now be taken, but we would prefer card if possible.  We operate on a first-come first-served basis.

Tewkesbury RFC is operating a Track and Trace system for those using the Clubhouse bar.  Please help us by downloading EVE PASS app for IOS and ANDROID and registering.  Once you have downloaded the app simply scan the GR code on arrival.
